Biographie

Coleman Allen

Originally from Ontario, Coleman Allen grew up in Spokane in Washington state after his father took a job there. In 2012 he returned to Canada to train at the High Performance Centre Swimming Canada in Vancouver and attended the University of British Columbia. He qualified for four events at the US Olympic Trials in 2012, but could not participate because of his Canadian citizenship. In 2013, he represented Canada at the Universiade and the FINA World Championships. He also broke the Canadian record in the 100 butterfly in Eindhoven, one of the stages of the World Cup. In 2014, he participated in the Commonwealth Games and Pan Pacific Championships. In 2015, he finished in 2 th position in the 100 butterfly Canadian trials before putting your hands on a pair of bronze medals in relay at the Pan Am Games in Toronto. At the CIS Championships, Coleman denied victory three butterfly events by registering as many records CIS. He was named swimmer Western Canada for the third consecutive season.

ABOUT THE ATHLETE

Family: His parents are called Murray and Jackie Allen. His older brother Beddome was part of the rowing team from the University of Washington. Hannah, her younger sister, is part of the rowing team from the University of Washington. Debut: He learned to swim at the age of 5 years to the YMCA to burn energy. In his first competition, he turned around during his round of 25 backstroke and then be disqualified. His Olympic dream was born when he looked at the performance of Ian Thorpe in Sydney 2000. In addition to swimming: He studied kinesiology at the University of British Columbia. He enjoys playing the guitar and making skateboarding, water skiing and mountain biking. He works as a head coach with the UBC Masters Swim Team Swim Club of the University of British Columbia. His motto: « Give all you can! « He collects for his parents, Starbucks cups cities he visits. Chad Clos, Olympic champion from South Africa, is one of his great friends. Coley is nicknamed or Coleyman.
