Kevin Hill

Kevin Hill had Canada’s best men’s snowboard cross result in a decade at the World Championships, where he won the silver medal in 2015. A week later, he dominated the competition winning the gold medal. of the X Games in Aspen, where he won the silver in 2011.

Kevin made his World Cup debut in February 2009 at the official Vancouver 2010 test event at Cypress Mountain. This was only his second competitive season.

About Kevin

Getting  started: He started snowboarding at the age of 19 and took up snowboard cross at age 22 as he was regaining the speed and flight time he loved from BMX racing. Beyond snowboarding:Since he was 10 years old, he has always been found at the BMX track, on a motocross or in the skateboard park. He also enjoys other extreme sports including cliff jumping, downhill mountain biking, wakeboarding and surfing. He loves to move and lift weights, in a gym or at the beach. He would like to become a stock broker and own an indoor extreme sports park for young people. It is nicknamed Kskills. Favorite Olympic memory: seeing her teammate Maëlle Ricker win the gold medal in Vancouver 2010. Her role model is his former teammate Rob Fagan, who took him under his wing and influenced him with his positive attitude. He draws his inspiration from tennis player Rafael Nadal, but more specifically from his longevity as an elite player and his sportsmanship. Favorite quote : “The battles of life are not always won by the strongest, nor by the fastest, but rather by those who believe they can do it. – Vince Lombardi.
